Pan Forever

New World Steel Orchestra is based at the Leeds West Indian Arts & Cultural Centre. At the centre we are the home for African Caribbean Arts & Culture. Where we undertake costume design and construction and the "Art of Steel Pan".

The New World Steel Orchestra was established in 2005 and has grown from strength to strengh. The young people in the Orchestra enjoy learning Steel Pan, making new friends and developing skills for life. Some of the rewards such as live performances, learning about steel pan and going on trips are part of the programme.

The NWSO program is about developing the whole child, therefore our youth program keeps the young people engaged in other activities such as art, design, painting drawing, personal development and learning about the history of carnival and the steel pan.

The website is in its development stages at the moment and will be constantly changing so please book mark us, email, or phone us if you require further information.
